Ploog Electric provides residential, commercial and agriculture electrical services to the Greater Mankato area. We specialize in custom residential homes and are providers of lighting control, central vac, and audio systems. Ploog Electric Inc. started as a one man shop back in 1973 by our founder Bernie Ploog. Focusing primarily on Madison Lake and the surrounding area he developed a large customer base. His son, Troy, followed the family tradition and got his Journeyman and Masters license. They co owned the business for many years before Troy took full ownership in 2013. Troy is currently serving as a board member of the Minnesota River Builders Association. Ploog Electric is proud to have been recognized by Mankato Magazine as best electrical contractor in 2012, 2013, 2014 (2nd) 2015 (2nd), and 2016.
